I was going to the Farmers Market on Saturday and ran into a workers’ rights/immigration rally. It was pretty huge. Covered pretty much the entirety of the lower Union Square area and then some. When I walked into the square some woman was yelling stuff in Spanish over the speakers (megaphone would not be loud enough). When I was leaving they were playing music.

It might be hard to tell from this pic, but there are zillions of people.

The city was kind enough to provide an area for the counter-protest where people who hate coloured folks can hold up signs about how immigrants are stealing jobs, raping children, and beating puppies.

One is the loneliest number.

I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.

We ventured to the Meatpacking last Friday and saw two filmings, one photo shoot, two sets of paparazzi waiting around, Lindsay Lohan and family (Ali, Mother Dina), and a block-long iPad line at the Apple store. We got to enjoy our drink outside in the company of these guys waiting around for Lindsay to come back out.

Paps waiting for Lindsay & co's return
