A couple years back I got a Roomba. I was really happy with it, but it stopped working a couple months later and I never got around to diagnosing the problem. Frankly, I was afraid copious amounts of my hair had caused the motor to burn out, and I wasn’t ready to face the reality of throwing the thing out ($400!) if that was the case.
Three years and one apartment later, I finally got the bugger out of top-shelf closet exile and really cleaned it out. I charged it up, and to my delight it ran beautifully. Turns out I had originally only cleaned the hair from the brushes, but hadn’t really gone in and cleaned out the smaller bits that allowed the brushes to turn. I wasted three years of perfectly good robotic cleaning thanks to that dumbassery.
Anyway, I’m excited! I’m terrible about vacuuming, and even when I do vacuum, the floor never feels perfectly clean to me. And then literally two days later there are giant dust bunnies along the walls again. I have Roomba running every weekday so that should keep all the dust and dirt at bay. Also, hopefully it makes us better about keeping clutter off the floor.

Same thing happened to our vacuum cleaner. Chris got tired of it and we are now the owners of one of those stupid sweeper thingys. I mean it works ok but it doesnt get into corners which is a pain in the ass so I am on strike from vacuuming. He ordered that thing so he can take care of it lol
