I got the LASIK done over a week ago and so far, so good. I have nothing but positive things to say about the procedure, the staff, the almost-perfect eyesight I now have… really, everything was great. If anyone needs a rec for a laser eye surgeon in NYC, I can give you the place as well as a coupon for the procedure (something like $200 or $250 off). They do both LASIK and PRK.

I’m still not fully used to it. Removing my glasses or contacts used to be one of the major cues for me in the wind down process prior to going to bed. I still have those half-second moments where I think, “Crap, I can still see, I have to take my contacts out,” before remembering that FUCK YEAH I can see without help now!

It is really one of the best things ever.
